Fact-check: “Matt Damon used a stunt lady in the movie the Odyssey”
Verdict: True (98% confidence)
The claim is directly supported by multiple independent primary sources, including Damon's own words on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. He said his stunt double for the Laestrygonians sequence 'was a woman, a female stunt performer who had the greatest arms I've ever seen.' That performer is Devyn Dalton, a 4-foot-6 Canadian stuntwoman whose short stature was used to make forced-perspective shots work — making the giant Laestrygonians appear enormous. No contrary evidence exists.
