Fact-check: “Michael Badgley is the place kicker for the Jets”
Verdict: False (95% confidence)
As of September 4, 2026, the Jets' official roster lists Blake Grupe as the active place kicker, not Michael Badgley. Badgley worked out for the Jets on September 2, 2026, alongside Justin Tucker and Joshua Karty, but a workout is not a signing — no official Jets or NFL source documents him being added to the roster or practice squad.
